Old Problems: [longitude/lattitude] [art with GrafEQ]
See the Beautiful Pictures (98-99) (99-2000) made by groups of students. All using ugly math equations!
Go to http://www.peda.com and download the GrafEQ demo. Make sure it is the correct version for your computer.
A Web-based Graphing Calculator
Students no longer need an $80 calculator to be able to check the graphs that
they must graph for their math homework. This "plotter" will graph all the rules,
or functions, that any self-respecting high school math student would want to
see. The help button does not work, but if you scroll down, you will see a link
to a help page. Be sure to follow the guidelines on how you must type in your
rules. For example, x squared is written 'x^2' and 3x needs to be written '3*x'
. You can even change the window size by clicking on 'Set graph'. CALCULUS students
should be aware that you can even quickly see the derivative graph and perform
integrals!
Also, go to the http://www.eoe.org site, and search their site for "graph". You will see that they have 3D graphing applets and more!
